Removing the wheel

Demontaż koła

Make sure the jack is standing stably. If the ground is slippery or soft, the jack may slip or collapse - risk of injury! The jack may only be placed at point A or B. Under the vehicle, make sure the jack head is centred on the lifting support area of the vehicle. Otherwise there is a risk of damaging the vehicle and/or the jack lowering - risk of injury! Positioning the vehicle Stop the vehicle so as not to obstruct traffic. The ground should, where possible, be flat, stable and non-slippery. Apply the parking brake, switch off the ignition and engage first gear* to lock the wheels. Place a wheel chock against the wheel diagonally opposite the wheel being changed. Make sure all passengers have left the vehicle and are in a safe place. Never get under a vehicle supported on a jack; use the special support stands.

* Position R for automated manual gearbox, P for automatic gearbox.

  • Place the jack base 2 on the ground and check that the jack axis is centred on the front point A or rear point B provided for this purpose under the body, as close as possible to the wheel being changed.

On vehicles fitted with decorative underbody trim strips, the lifting point is marked with a symbol on the strip. Position the jack exactly in line with this symbol, at the level of the lifting support area located behind the strip, not on the plastic trim strip.
