Lead-acid starter batteries
Batteries contain harmful substances, such as sulphuric acid and lead. Dispose of them in accordance with applicable regulations. Never throw them away with household waste. Take used batteries and accumulators to a designated collection point for this type of waste. Versions equipped with the Stop & Start system have a 12 V lead-acid battery with special technology and specifications. This battery must only be replaced at a CITROËN dealer or a specialist workshop. Before working on the battery, protect your eyes and face. Carry out all battery work in a well-ventilated area, away from open flames or sources of sparks, to avoid the risk of explosion and fire. Wash your hands after finishing work. Never push-start the vehicle if it is fitted with an automated or automatic gearbox.Test yourself
