NOTE
To tow a caravan or trailer, the vehicle must be fitted with an approved towing bracket and a corresponding electrical system.
Installation must be carried out by qualified personnel, who will then provide the documentation required for registration for road use.
Any specific rear-view mirrors and/or additional mirrors must be fitted in compliance with the applicable road traffic regulations.
Bear in mind that when towing a trailer, depending on its gross weight, the maximum gradient you can climb is reduced, braking distances increase and the time needed to overtake lengthens.
On downhill gradients, engage a lower gear instead of constantly using the brake.
The load of the trailer acting on the towing bracket reduces the payload of the vehicle by the same amount. To make sure the maximum permissible towing weight (in the vehicle registration document) is not exceeded, take into account the weight of the trailer when fully loaded, including all accessories and all personal luggage.
When towing a trailer, observe the specific speed limits in each country. The maximum speed must under no circumstances exceed 80 km/h.
