Kit fix&go
Description
The Fix&Go quick tyre repair kit, fig. 119, is located in the luggage compartment inside a dedicated container and consists of:
- a cartridge A containing the sealant, fitted with a transparent tube for injecting the sealant D and a speed sticker C reading "Max 80 km/h", to be placed in a clearly visible position (e.g. instrument panel) after the tyre has been repaired;
- a compressor B;
- an information leaflet for ready and correct use of the kit;
- a pair of gloves, found in the compartment of the cartridge tube D.
Repair procedure
Proceed as follows:
- Stop the vehicle in a position that does not obstruct traffic and allows the procedure to be carried out safely. The ground should preferably be level and sufficiently firm;

- Switch off the engine, turn on the hazard warning lights and apply the parking brake;
- Put on the high-visibility vest before getting out of the vehicle (in any case, comply with the laws in force in the country where you are driving);
- Insert the cartridge A containing the sealant into its compartment on the compressor B, pressing firmly downwards, fig. 119. Remove the speed sticker C and apply it in a clearly visible position (fig. 123);
- Put on the gloves;
- Remove the cap from the tyre valve and screw the transparent sealant tube D, fig. 119, onto the valve. If the 250 ml cartridge is used, the housing of the transparent tube has a removable collar to make removal easier.

- Start the compressor by pressing the ON-OFF button E fig. 121. When the pressure gauge G shows the pressure specified in the "Wheels" section of the "Technical data" chapter or on the dedicated label, turn off the compressor by pressing the ON-OFF button E again;

- disconnect cartridge A from the compressor by pressing release button H and lifting cartridge A upwards fig. 122.

If within 15 min. of starting the compressor the pressure gauge G fig. 121 shows a pressure lower than 1.8 bar / 26 psi, turn off the compressor, disconnect the sealant hose D from the tyre valve, and remove cartridge A from the compressor fig. 122.

Drive the vehicle approx. 10 m to distribute the sealant; stop the vehicle safely, apply the parking brake and restore the pressure using the black inflation hose I fig. 124 until the specified pressure is reached. If again, within 15 min. of starting, the pressure is lower than 1.8 bar / 26 psi, do not resume driving and contact the Fiat Service Network.

After driving approx. 8 km / 5 miles, park the vehicle in a safe, easily accessible area and apply the parking brake. Remove the compressor and restore the pressure using the black inflation hose I fig. 124.
If the indicated pressure is above 1.8 bar / 26 psi, restore the pressure and resume driving carefully, reaching the Fiat Service Network as soon as possible. If instead a pressure lower than 1.8 bar / 26 psi is detected, do not resume driving and contact the Fiat Service Network.
Pressure restoration procedure
Proceed as follows:
- stop the vehicle safely, as previously indicated, and apply the parking brake;
- remove the black inflation hose I fig. 124 and screw it firmly onto the tyre valve. Follow the instructions in fig. 120 and fig. 124.
Cartridge replacement
Proceed as follows:
use only original Fix&Go cartridges, available from the Fiat Service Network.
to remove cartridge A fig. 119, press release button H fig. 122 and lift it out.
Read the cartridge label carefully before use and avoid improper use. The kit must be used by adults and must not be left in use by minors.
148) WARNING: Do not exceed 80 km/h. Do not accelerate or brake abruptly. The kit provides a temporary repair; the tyre must therefore be inspected and repaired by a specialist as soon as possible.
Before using the kit, make sure the tyre is not severely damaged and the rim is in good condition; otherwise do not use the kit and call roadside assistance. Do not remove foreign objects from the tyre. Do not keep the compressor running for more than 20 consecutive minutes: risk of overheating. WARNING 55) The sealant is effective at temperatures between -40°C and +55 °C. The sealant has an expiry date. Tyres with tread damage up to a maximum diameter of 6 mm can be repaired.Show the cartridge and label to the personnel who will handle the tyre treated with the tyre repair kit.
