Restoring the rear seat position

Lift the backrests, pushing them backward until the locking mechanisms click into place, and set the seat belt buckles facing up. Then place the cushion in the normal use position. Finally, check that the 'red strip' next to the backrest folding lever has disappeared, to confirm the backrests are properly secured.

CAUTION

10) All adjustments may only be made when the vehicle is stationary.

11) After releasing the adjustment lever, always check that the seat has locked into the runners by trying to move it forward and backward. If the seat is not locked, it may move unexpectedly and you may lose control of the vehicle.

12) For maximum protection, set the seatback to the correct position, sit with your back firmly against the backrest, and fasten the belt so that it fits snugly across your chest and hips.

13) Fabric seat covers are designed to be very durable under normal vehicle use. However, avoid prolonged and/or sudden rubbing with clothing that has metal buckles, decorative buttons, hook-and-loop fasteners and/or similar items, as this can cause localised, repeated abrasion of the fabric fibres and damage the upholstery.
