Version with methane (natural power) fuel system

~1min read

INTRODUCTION

The "Natural Power" version has two fuel systems: one using petrol and the other using natural gas (methane).

METHANE CYLINDERS

The vehicle is fitted with two cylinders (see fig. 37 and fig. 38), located under the vehicle floor and protected by two special covers. Methane, stored in high-pressure cylinders, flows through the appropriate line to the pressure reducer/regulator, which supplies the two methane injectors at low pressure (approx. 9 bar).

Cylinder certification

Certyfikacja butli

The cylinders are certified in accordance with UNECE Regulation No. 110 and, under this regulation, must be inspected every 4 years, counting from the vehicle registration date, or in accordance with the specific requirements of individual countries.

The plate supplied by the dealer with the vehicle documentation shows the scheduled date of the first cylinder inspection.

Methane filling station staff are not authorised to fill cylinders whose inspection date has expired.

WARNING: If the vehicle was registered in a country other than Italy, the certification, identification and inspection procedures for the methane cylinders comply with the legal requirements of that country. However, note that the cylinder service life is 20 years from the production date, in accordance with UNECE Regulation No. 110.
