Rear door emergency locking device

The rear doors are equipped with mechanism B, Fig. 6, which allows them to be locked when there is no power supply.

Activating the device: insert the metal key insert into the opening shown in Fig. 6 and turn the mechanism from position 2 to position 1 (Fig. 6). Then close the door. When the device is activated, use the inside door handles to open the rear doors.

CAUTION

6) Once the Dead Lock device is activated, it is not possible to open the doors from the inside in any way, so before activating it make sure that no one remains in the vehicle.

7) If the battery in the remote key runs flat, the device can only be deactivated by inserting the metal key insert into the locks of both doors as described above. In this case the device will remain active only in the rear doors.

8) Always use this device when transporting children. After activating the device in both rear doors, check that it actually works by pulling the inside door handles.

9) Do not activate the child safety lock if the rear door emergency locking device is already activated. If both devices are active: to open the doors, pull the inside door handles to deactivate the emergency locking device, and then open the doors using the outside handles.
