Spare Tire and Wheel Assembly - Miscellaneous Information
If you have a spare wheel and tire of a different type, use it for temporary use only. This means that if you need to use it, you must replace it with a road wheel and tire assembly of the same size and type as the road tires and wheels originally supplied with your vehicle as soon as possible. If the non-matching spare tire or wheel is damaged, replace it rather than repair it.
Important Use of the Spare Wheel
A non-matching spare wheel and tire assembly is a spare wheel and tire assembly that differs in brand, size, or appearance from the road wheels and tires, and may be one of three types:

1 This spare wheel begins with the letter T for the tire size and may only be used temporarily. It is embossed on the sidewall.
2 This spare tire has a label on the wheel that states: THIS WHEEL AND TIRE ASSEMBLY IS FOR TEMPORARY USE ONLY.
