Driver and Passenger Knee Airbags

The driver and passenger knee airbags are located under or inside the instrument panel. In a crash, the restraints control module may deploy the driver and passenger knee airbags (individually or both), depending on crash severity and occupant conditions. Under certain crash and occupant conditions, the driver and passenger knee airbags may deploy (individually or both), but the corresponding front airbag may not deploy. As with the front and side airbags, it is important to sit properly and wear your seatbelt to reduce the risk of death or serious injury.
