Note: do not apply chemical cleaning agents to wheel rims and wheel covers when cold or hot.
Note: over time, heavy-duty industrial cleaners or chemical cleaning agents, combined with the mechanical action of a brush used to remove brake dust and dirt, may strip the clear coat finish.Note: do not use wheel cleaners based on hydrofluoric acid or highly caustic cleaners, steel wool, or strong commercial fuels or cleaners.
Note: if you intend to park the vehicle for an extended period after cleaning the wheels with cleaner, first drive for a few minutes. This reduces the risk of increased corrosion of brake discs, pads and seals.Note: some car washes may damage the finish of wheels and wheel covers.
Alloy wheels and wheel covers are coated with a clear paint finish. To keep their condition unchanged, it is advisable to:- Clean them weekly, using the recommended wheel and tyre cleaner.
- Use a sponge to remove heavy deposits of dirt and brake dust build-up.
- Once cleaning is complete, rinse thoroughly using a spray of water.
The use of other, non-recommended cleaning products may cause severe and permanent cosmetic damage.
