  1. Start the assisting vehicle and gently press the accelerator pedal.
  2. Start the disabled vehicle. Check that the Ready to Drive indicator lights up in the instrument cluster, because even if the diesel engine cannot start, the electric motor may operate.
  3. Once you have started the disabled vehicle, let both vehicles run for three more minutes before disconnecting the jump leads.
