Keyless Starting

Note: The system may not operate if the remote control is near metal objects or electronic devices such as cell phones. Note: A valid intelligent key must be inside your vehicle to switch on the ignition and start the engine.

Switching On the Ignition

Press the button twice without depressing the brake or clutch pedal. It is located on the instrument panel, near the steering wheel. All electrical circuits and accessories are operational, and warning lights and indicators illuminate.

Press the button again without depressing the brake or clutch pedal to switch off your vehicle completely.

Starting Your Vehicle

Manual gearbox

1. 1
   Fully depress the clutch pedal.
2. 2
   Briefly press the button.

Note: If you release the clutch pedal while the engine is starting, the engine stops and the electrical system returns to ignition on mode.

Automatic Transmission

1. 1
   Move the transmission selector lever to Park.

   Fully depress the brake pedal.
3. 3
   Briefly press the button.

Note: If you release the brake pedal while the engine is starting, the engine stops and the electrical system returns to ignition on mode.

Diesel Engine

Note: Engine cranking only begins after the glow plug preheat cycle has finished. This may take several seconds in extremely cold weather.
