Vehicles with Turbocharger

WARNING

Do not switch off the ignition while the engine is running at high speed. If you do, the turbocharger will continue to spin with zero engine oil pressure. This can lead to premature wear of the turbocharger bearings.

Release the accelerator pedal.

Wait until the engine returns to idle, then switch off the ignition.
