Curtain Airbag (CAB) Module Repair Procedures

Removal

   Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.

   Remove the roof headlining. (Refer to Body - "Roof Headlining Assembly")

   Remove the curtain airbag (A) after disconnecting the curtain airbag wiring connector (B) and loosening the mounting bolts.

   

   

Installation

1. 1
   Remove the ignition key from the vehicle.
2. 2
   Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait at least three minutes.
3. 3
   Tighten the curtain airbag mounting bolts and nuts.

   Tightening torque: Bolt: 7.8 ~ 11.8 N·m

   Never twist the airbag module during installation. If the airbag module is twisted, the airbag module may not operate properly.

   Connect the curtain airbag connector.

   Install the roof trim. (Refer to Body - "Roof Trim Assembly")

   Connect the negative battery cable.

   After installing the curtain airbag (CAB), check that the system operates correctly:

   A.	Turn the ignition ON; the SRS indicator should illuminate for approximately six seconds, then turn off.
