Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.
  2. Remove the emergency pad lower panel. (Refer to Body - "Emergency Pad Lower Panel")
  3. Remove the knee airbag module (A) after loosening the mounting nuts.
  4. Disconnect the connector (A) of the knee airbag module.

Installation

  1. Remove the ignition key from the vehicle.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait at least three minutes.
  3. Install the knee airbag module after connecting the knee airbag module connector.

    Tightening torque: Bolt: 7.8 ~ 11.8 N·m

  4. Install the emergency pad lower panel.
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
  6. After installing the knee airbag (KAB), check that the system operates correctly:
    A. Turn the ignition ON; the SRS indicator should illuminate for approximately six seconds, then turn off.
