    Tightening torque: 7.8 ~ 9.8 N·m

  4. Connect the SRSCM wiring harness connectors.
  5. Install the heater ducts and floor console. (Refer to Body - "Floor Console Assembly")
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
  7. After installing the SRSCM, check system operation: Turn the ignition ON; the SRS indicator should illuminate for about six seconds, then go off.
    • If the SRSCM is always replaced, perform variant coding. In addition, perform the G-sensor zero point setting. (Refer to Brake System - "Yaw Rate and Lateral G Sensor")

Variant Coding

After replacing the SRSCM with a new one, perform the "Variant Coding" procedure.
  1. In variant coding mode, the SRSCM airbag warning lamp blinks periodically (ON: 0.5 s, OFF: 0.5 s) until the coding is completed normally.
  2. If variant coding fails, DTC B176200 (ACU coding error) will be displayed and the warning lamp will illuminate. In this case, repeat the variant coding procedure after confirming the cause in "DTC Fault State Information". Variant coding can be performed up to 255 times; if the number of coding operations exceeds 255, DTC B168300 (maximum code number exceeded) will be displayed and the SRSCM must be replaced.
  3. If the battery voltage is low (less than 9 V), DTC B110200 will be displayed. In this case, charge the battery before doing anything else, then perform the variant coding procedure. DTC B176200 (ACU Coding Error) and B110200 (Low Battery Voltage) may be displayed at the same time.
