• Warning timing setting

The driver can select the timing of the initial warning in the user settings on the LCD display by selecting "User Settings → Driver Assistance → Warning Timing".

The initial warning options for Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning include the following:

- Normal:

When this option is selected, the initial Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning activates normally. If this setting seems too sensitive, change it to "Later".

The warning timing may seem late if a vehicle to the side or rear accelerates rapidly.

- Late:

Select the warning timing for this warning when traffic is light and you are driving at low speed.

Information

If you change the warning timing, the warning timing of other systems may change. Always be careful before changing the warning timing.

Operating Conditions

To operate:

Go to "User Settings" → "Driver Assistance" → "Blind-Spot Safety" → "Rear Cross-Traffic Safety" on the instrument cluster LCD. The system will turn on and stand by for activation.

The system will operate when vehicle speed is below 10 km/h and the shift lever is in the R (Reverse) position.

* The system will not operate if vehicle speed exceeds 10 km/h. The system will reactivate when speed drops below 10 km/h.

The detection range of the system is approximately 1–65 ft (0.5–20 m). An approaching vehicle will be detected if its speed is within 2.5–36 km/h.

Note that the detection range may vary under certain conditions. As always, use caution and carefully monitor your surroundings when driving in reverse.
