~1min read

The Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) system is designed to help detect and track the vehicle ahead in the roadway using camera recognition, to warn the driver that a collision is imminent, and to apply emergency braking if necessary.

The camera-type FCA system detects the vehicle ahead on the roadway using a camera.

WARNING

Observe the following precautions when using the Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) system:

  • This system is only a supplemental system and is not designed to replace the driver's need for extreme caution and attention. The detection range and the objects detected by the sensors are limited. Always pay attention to road conditions.
  • Drive in accordance with posted speed limits and road conditions.
  • Always drive carefully to prevent unexpected and sudden situations from occurring. The Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist system may not always stop the vehicle completely and is only designed to help mitigate an unavoidable collision.
