WARNING

Tire failure may cause loss of vehicle control and result in an accident. To reduce the risk of SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH, observe the following precautions:

  • Check tires monthly for proper inflation, as well as for wear and damage.
  • The recommended cold tire inflation pressure for your vehicle can be found in this manual and on the tire information label located on the driver's side center pillar. Always use a tire pressure gauge to check tire pressure. Tires that are over-inflated or under-inflated may wear unevenly and cause poor handling.
  • Check the spare tire pressure each time you check the pressure of the other tires on your vehicle.
  • Replace tires that are worn, unevenly worn or damaged. Worn tires may reduce braking, steering or traction performance.
  • ALWAYS replace tires with the same size as the original tires supplied with this vehicle. Using tires and wheels of sizes other than those recommended may result in unusual handling characteristics, poor vehicle control or adversely affect your vehicle's Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), which may lead to a serious accident.
