Wheel Replacement

When replacing metal wheels for any reason, make sure the new wheels are equivalent to the original factory wheels in diameter, rim width, and offset.

Tire Traction

Traction on wet roads may be reduced if you drive on worn tires, improperly installed tires, underinflated tires, or on slippery road surfaces. Replace tires when tread depth is 2/32 in (1.6 mm) or less. To reduce the risk of losing control, slow down whenever it is raining, snowing, or icy.

Tire Maintenance

In addition to proper inflation, proper wheel alignment helps reduce tire wear. If you notice that a tire is wearing unevenly, have the alignment checked by a dealer.

When installing new tires, make sure they are balanced. This will improve ride comfort and tire life. In addition, the tire should always be rebalanced if it has been removed from the wheel.
