2. When you bring the vehicle to a complete stop by depressing the brake pedal, the Auto Hold function maintains brake pressure to keep the vehicle stationary. The indicator changes from white to green.
3. The vehicle will remain stationary even if the brake pedal is released.
4. If the EPB is applied, Auto Hold will be released.
To release:
- If the accelerator pedal is depressed with the shift lever in D (Drive), R (Reverse) or manual shift mode, Auto Hold will be released automatically and the vehicle will start moving. The AUTO HOLD indicator changes from green to white.
- If the vehicle is restarted using the cruise control switch (RES+ or SET-) during Auto Hold and cruise control is operating, Auto Hold will be released regardless of accelerator pedal operation. The AUTO HOLD indicator changes from green to white.
WARNING
When AUTO HOLD is released automatically by depressing the accelerator pedal, always look around the vehicle.
Depress the accelerator pedal slowly for a smooth start.

WARNING
To prevent unexpected and sudden vehicle movement, ALWAYS keep your foot on the brake pedal to cancel Auto Hold before:

-- Operating the vehicle in R (Reverse).
-- Parking the vehicle.
Information
• Auto Hold does not operate when:
-- The driver's door is open
-- The engine hood is open in D (Drive) or N (Neutral)
-- The shift lever is in P (Park).
-- The trunk is opened in R (Reverse)
-- The EPB is applied
-- The vehicle is stopped for more than 30 minutes.
• For your safety, the Auto Hold function automatically switches to the EPB when:
-- The driver's door opens in D (Drive) or N (Neutral).
-- The engine hood is open.
-- The trunk opens in R (Reverse).
-- The vehicle is stopped for more than 10 minutes.
-- The vehicle is parked on a steep slope.
-- The vehicle moves several times.
-- The vehicle has been stopped for more than 30 minutes in total.
In these cases, the parking brake warning light illuminates, the AUTO HOLD indicator changes color from green to white, a warning sound is heard, and a message appears indicating that the EPB has been applied automatically. Before driving off again, press the brake pedal, check the area around your vehicle, and release the parking brake manually using the EPB switch.
• You may hear a mechanical noise while Auto Hold is operating. This is a normal operating noise.

- For safety, cancel Auto Hold when driving down a slope, reversing the vehicle, or parking the vehicle.
