Detection Area

• The Smart Trunk Release works with a welcome warning if the Smart Key is detected within 20 to 40 inches of the trunk.
• The warning stops immediately if the Smart Key moves outside the detection area during the detection and warning stage.

Information

• The Smart Trunk Release function will not work if any of the following occurs:
  -- The Smart Key is near a radio transmitter, such as a radio station or airport, that may interfere with normal operation of the transmitter.
  -- The Smart Key is near a two-way radio system or a mobile phone.
  -- A Smart Key of another vehicle is operating near your vehicle.
• Detection range may decrease or increase when:
  -- One side of the vehicle is raised to replace a tire or inspect the vehicle.
  -- The vehicle is parked at an angle on a slope or unpaved road, etc.
