Headlight Delay Function
If you turn the ignition key to the ACC or OFF position with the headlights on, the headlights (and/or parking lights) remain on for approximately 5 minutes. However, if the engine is off and the driver's door is opened and closed, the headlights (and/or parking lights) turn off after 15 seconds.
The headlights (and/or parking lights) can be turned off by pressing the lock button on the remote key or smart key twice, or by turning the light switch to the OFF or AUTO position. However, if you turn the light switch to the AUTO position when it is dark outside, the headlights will not turn off.
You can enable or disable the Headlamp Delay feature from the User Settings mode on the LCD display.
For more details, refer to "LCD Modes" in chapter 4. If your vehicle is equipped with optional navigation, refer to the separately supplied infotainment system manual.
NOTICE
If the driver exits the vehicle through a door other than the driver's door, the battery saver function will not operate and the headlamp delay function will not turn off automatically.
This may cause the battery to discharge. To prevent battery discharge, turn off the headlights manually using the headlight switch before leaving the vehicle.
