Heating and Air Conditioning

1. Start the engine.

2. Set the mode to the desired position. For maximum heating and cooling efficiency, select the mode as follows:

-- Cooling:

3. Set the temperature control to the desired position.

4. Set the air intake control to the fresh air position or the recirculation position.

5. Set the fan speed control to the desired speed.

6. If air conditioning is required, turn the air conditioning system on.

When starting the vehicle in cold weather, the following is a more effective way to heat the passenger compartment.

-- Turn off or lower the fan after starting the engine.

• The engine temperature is still low and the airflow from the heater is still cold.

-- A few minutes after the engine warms up, turn on or raise the fan to a higher speed and adjust the temperature setting to hot.
