The mode selection knob controls the direction of airflow through the ventilation system.
Air can be directed to the floor, the dashboard outlets, or the windshield. Five symbols are used to indicate the face, bi-level, floor, floor-defrost, and defrost air positions.
Face Level (B, D)
.png)
Airflow is directed to the upper body and face. In addition, each outlet can be controlled to direct air discharged from the outlet.
Bi-Level (B, C, D, E)
.png)
Airflow is directed to the face and floor.
Floor Level (A, C, D, E)

Most of the airflow is directed to the floor, with a small amount of air directed to the windshield and side window defrosters.
Floor and Defrost (A, C, D, E)

Most of the airflow is directed to the floor and windshield, with a small amount directed to the side window defrosters.
Defrost Level (A, D)

Most of the airflow is directed to the windshield, with a small amount of air directed to the side window defrosters.
MAX A/C Level (B, D)

MAX A/C mode is used to cool the interior of the vehicle faster. Airflow is directed to the upper body and face.
In this mode, the A/C and recirculation positions cannot be selected. Adjust the fan speed mode as required.

Type B
When fresh mode is selected, air is drawn into the vehicle from outside and heated or cooled according to the selected function.
Information
Operating the system in Fresh mode is recommended in most cases. Use recirculation mode temporarily only when necessary.
Operating the heater in recirculation mode without the A/C ON for a long period may cause the windshield to fog up.
In addition, prolonged use of the A/C with recirculation mode selected may result in excessively dry, dehydrated air in the cabin and may contribute to a stale ventilation odor due to stagnant air.
WARNING
- Continued use of the climate control system in recirculation mode for a long period of time may cause drowsiness of the passengers in the cabin. This may result in loss of vehicle control, which may lead to an accident.
- Continued use of the climate control system in recirculation mode with the air conditioner off may allow humidity inside the cabin to increase. This may cause condensation to build up on the windshield and reduce visibility.
- Do not sleep in the vehicle or remain parked in your vehicle with the windows up and either the heater or air conditioner ON for extended periods of time. Doing so may increase the level of carbon dioxide in the cabin, which may result in serious injury or death.
