Inspection

  1. Press the MODE switch more than 4 times within 2 seconds while pressing the OFF switch.
    Display Description of Malfunction
    00 Normal
    51 Cluster Ionizer Generator Malfunction

    * For the diagnostic procedure, refer to the DTC Chart.

Replacement

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the glove box upper cover. (Refer to Body - "Driver Airbag Lower Assembly")
  3. Loosen the mounting screw and remove the shower duct (A).
  4. Disconnect the evaporator temperature sensor connector, then remove the cluster ionizer (A).
  5. Install in the reverse order of removal.
