Replacement

  1. Discharge the refrigerant from the refrigerant system.
  2. Replace faulty tubes or hoses.
Immediately cap open fittings to prevent moisture or dirt from entering the system.
  3. Tighten the bolt or nut to the specified torque.
Do not exceed the specified torque for the connections.
  4. Evacuate the air conditioning system and charge it with refrigerant.

    Specified amount: 700 ± 25 g (24.7 ± 0.88 oz)

  5. Check for refrigerant leaks. Using a gas leak detector, check for refrigerant leakage.
  6. Check the air conditioner operation.

Component Replacement

When replacing system components, supply the following amount of oil to the components being installed.
Components to be installed Oil Capacity
Evaporator 50 cc (1.70 fl oz)
Condenser 30 cc (1.02 fl oz)
Receiver/Drier 30 cc (1.02 fl oz)
Refrigerant line (one part) 10 cm3 (0.34 fl oz)

To replace the compressor, subtract the amount of oil drained from the removed compressor from the specified amount, and drain the calculated amount of oil from the new compressor: Specified amount - amount drained from the removed compressor = amount to be drained from the new compressor.
  • Even if no oil is drained from the removed compressor, do not drain more than 50 cc from the new compressor.
