Description

  1. Description
    A. This system is designed to optimize driving performance by actively distributing driving force to the front and rear wheels according to road conditions and driving mode.
    Electronically Controlled Driving Force Distribution
    A. The amount of driving force transmitted to the front wheels is controlled by precisely adjusting the clutch torque of the electronic transfer case all-wheel drive (multi-disc) through recognition of road and driving conditions from sensor signals input to the AWD ECU.
    Interlocking with Driving Control System
    A. It achieves the best driving characteristics through ideal interaction with brake systems such as ABS and VDC.
    B. Driving force from the engine and transmission is transmitted to the transfer case and then to the rear differential through the propeller shaft. It is transmitted to the front differential through the propeller shaft when all-wheel drive operation is required.
  2. Transfer Case Structure
    A. The AWD ECU distributes driving force between the front and rear wheels by controlling the multi-disc clutch in the transfer case, analyzing input information such as wheel speed, accelerator position and steering wheel angle, according to road and driving conditions.
