Engine Oil
Checking the Engine Oil Level
1. Follow all oil manufacturer precautions.
2. Make sure the vehicle is on level ground in P (Park) with the parking brake set and the wheels chocked.
3. Start the engine and let it run until it reaches normal operating temperature.
4. Turn off the engine and wait five minutes for the oil to drain back into the oil pan.
5. Pull out the dipstick, wipe it clean, and reinsert it fully.

6. Pull out the dipstick again and check the level. The level should be between F and L.
7. If the level is near or at L, add enough oil to bring the level up to F.
✽ NOTICE
To avoid engine damage:
- Do not overfill the engine with oil. Add oil in small amounts and recheck the level to make sure the engine is not overfilled.
- Do not spill engine oil when adding or changing engine oil. Use a funnel to prevent oil from contacting engine components. Wipe up spilled oil immediately.
