What to do in an emergency

Using the tire repair kit

~2min read

1. Remove the speed limit label (0) from the sealant container (1) and place it in a clearly visible location, such as the steering wheel, to remind the driver not to drive too fast.

2. Screw the hose (8) onto the connector of the sealant container.

3. Remove the valve cap from the damaged wheel and screw the filling hose (2) of the sealant container onto the valve.

4. Insert the sealant container vertically into the compressor holder (4).

7. With the engine Start/Stop button or the ignition switch in the ON position, switch on the compressor and let it run for approximately 5 to 7 minutes to fill the sealant to the correct pressure. (Refer to "Wheels and Tires" in Section 8.) The tire inflation pressure after filling is not critical and will be checked/corrected later.

Be careful not to overinflate the tire and step away from it while inflating.

NOTICE - Tire pressure Do not attempt to drive the vehicle if the tire pressure is below 29 PSI (200 kPa). This may cause an accident due to sudden tire failure.

8. Turn off the compressor.

9. Disconnect the hoses from the sealant container connector and the tire valve.

Return the tire repair kit to its storage location in the vehicle.

WARNING - Carbon monoxide Do not leave the vehicle running in a poorly ventilated area for a long period of time. Suffocation and carbon monoxide poisoning may occur.
