WARNING

Headlight Operation

Before handling the headlights, make sure the parking brake is properly applied and the ignition key is in the LOCK position, then turn off the headlights to avoid burns or electric shock if the vehicle moves suddenly.

Use only bulbs of the specified wattage.

NOTICE

Always replace a burned-out bulb with a bulb of the same wattage. Otherwise, the fuse or electrical system may be damaged.

NOTICE

If you do not have the tools or experience required to perform the procedure, we recommend that you contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

It is often difficult to replace headlight bulbs because other vehicle parts must be removed to access the bulb. This is especially true when you need to remove the headlight unit to access the bulb(s). Removing/installing the headlight unit may damage the vehicle.

Intelligent

After driving in heavy rain or after washing the vehicle, the front and rear lamp lenses may be covered with a film of frost or similar. The formation of this film is caused by the difference in temperature between the inside and outside of the lamp lens. The mechanism is the same as condensation on the windows inside the vehicle when it rains. This is not a problem for your vehicle. If water seeps into the bulb circuit, we recommend having your vehicle's system checked by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
