General precautions for vehicle interior care

Do not allow harsh solutions, such as cosmetic oils or perfumes, to come into contact with the instrument panel, as they may damage it and cause discoloration. If contact occurs, wipe them off immediately. For information on cleaning vinyl surfaces, refer to the following instructions.

NOTICE

Never allow water or other liquids to get on electrical/electronic components inside the vehicle, as this may cause damage.

Upholstery and Carpet Dry Cleaning

Vinyl

Remove dust and loose dirt from vinyl surfaces using a brush or a vacuum cleaner. Clean vinyl surfaces with a vinyl-specific product.

Cloth

Remove dust and loose dirt from fabric using a brush or a vacuum cleaner. Cleaning with a mild soap solution is recommended for upholstery or carpets. Remove recent stains immediately with a fabric cleaner. If you do not treat fresh stains immediately, the fabric may become permanently stained and its color may change. In addition, its flame-retardant properties may be reduced if the material is not stored properly.

NOTICE

Using non-recommended products and procedures may affect the appearance and flame-retardant properties of the fabric.

Three-Point Seat Belt Webbing Cleaning

Clean the seat belt webbing with a mild soap solution. Mild soap is recommended for cleaning upholstery or carpets. Follow the instructions provided with the soap. Do not apply bleach or dye to the belt, as this may change its color.

Interior Window Cleaning

If the interior surface of a window becomes fogged (i.e., covered with a greasy film), clean it with a glass cleaner. Follow the instructions on the window cleaner.

NOTICE

Do not scratch the inside of the rear windows. You may damage the rear window defroster grid.
