If you decide to tow a trailer, keep the following important points in mind:
- Consider using a sway control device. You may ask the trailer hitch dealer to check the body roll.
- Do not tow a trailer during the first 2000 km (1200 miles) of vehicle operation to ensure proper engine break-in. If you ignore this instruction, serious damage to the engine or transmission may result.
- When towing a trailer, consult an authorized HYUNDAI dealer for information on requirements and additional equipment, such as towing equipment, etc.
- Always drive at a moderate speed (less than 100 km/h) or the established speed limit for vehicles with trailers.
- On long grades, do not exceed a speed of 70 km/h or the established speed limit for vehicles with trailers, whichever is lower.
- Strictly observe the load limits and weight distribution specified on the following pages.
