Parking

Always come to a complete stop and keep the brake pedal depressed. Always shift the shift lever to P (Park), then apply the parking brake and turn the ignition key to LOCK/OFF. Take the key with you when you leave the vehicle.

WARNING

If you intend to remain in the vehicle with the engine running, be careful not to depress the accelerator pedal for a prolonged period. This may cause the engine or exhaust system to overheat and may result in a fire.

The exhaust system and exhaust gases are very hot. Do not stand near the exhaust system.

Do not park, stop, or drive the vehicle on or near flammable materials such as dry grass, plants, paper, or leaves. They may catch fire and cause a fire.
