The reservoir is transparent, allowing the fluid level to be checked at a glance.
Check the washer fluid level in the reservoir and add fluid if necessary. If washer fluid is not available, water may be used. However, in cold regions use windshield washer fluid with antifreeze.
WARNING
Coolant
- Do not use radiator coolant or antifreeze in the washer reservoir.
- Radiator coolant can significantly reduce windshield washer visibility when sprayed on the windshield and may cause loss of vehicle control or damage to paint and exterior trim.
- Windshield washer fluid contains a certain amount of alcohol and may ignite under certain conditions. Avoid contact between washer fluid or the washer reservoir and sparks or open flame. Such contact presents a danger to the vehicle and its occupants.
- Windshield washer fluid is toxic to humans and animals. Do not swallow it and avoid any contact with this fluid. Failure to observe these safety precautions may result in serious injury or even death.
