Interior Rearview Mirror

Before driving, adjust the interior rearview mirror to center the view through the rear window.

WARNING

Make sure your line of sight is not obstructed. Do not place items on the rear seat, cargo area, or behind the rear head restraints that may block your view through the rear window.

WARNING

To avoid serious injury during an accident or airbag deployment, do not modify the rearview mirror or install a wide-angle mirror.

WARNING

NEVER adjust the mirror while driving. This may cause loss of control of the vehicle, resulting in an accident.

NOTICE

When cleaning the mirror, use a paper towel or similar material moistened with glass cleaner. Do not spray glass cleaner directly onto the mirror, as liquid may enter the mirror housing.

Make this adjustment before driving and while the day/night lever is in the day position.

Pull the day/night lever toward you to reduce glare from the headlights of vehicles behind you during night driving.

Keep in mind that you lose some rear view clarity in the night position.

Electrochromic Mirror (ECM) (if equipped)

The electrochromic rearview mirror automatically controls glare from the headlights of vehicles behind you at night or in low-light conditions.

When the engine is running, glare is automatically controlled by a sensor installed at the rear of the mirror. The sensor detects the light level around the vehicle and automatically adjusts to control glare from the headlights of vehicles behind you.

Whenever the shift lever is in R (Reverse), the mirror automatically switches to the brightest setting to improve the driver's view behind the vehicle.
