Anti-Theft System
This system helps protect the vehicle and valuables. The horn will sound and the hazard warning lights will flash continuously if any of the following occurs:
- A door is opened without using the remote key or Smart Key.
- The tailgate is opened without using the remote key or Smart Key.
- The hood is opened.
The alarm continues for 30 seconds, then the system resets. To turn off the alarm, unlock the doors with the remote key or Smart Key.
The security alarm system is automatically armed 30 seconds after the doors and trunk are locked. To activate the system, you must lock the doors and trunk from outside the vehicle with the remote key or Smart Key, or by pressing the button on the outside door handle while carrying the Smart Key.
The alarm indicator light will flash once to indicate that the system is armed.
After the security system is armed, opening any door, the tailgate or the hood without using the remote key or Smart Key will activate the alarm.
The security alarm system will not arm if the hood, trunk lid or any door is not fully closed. If the system does not arm, check that the hood, trunk lid, and doors are fully closed.
Do not attempt to modify this system or add other devices to it.
Information
- Do not lock the doors until all passengers have left the vehicle. If a remaining passenger leaves the vehicle when the system is armed, the alarm will be activated.
- If the vehicle is not disarmed, unlock the doors with the mechanical key. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (for remote key) or press the ENGINE START/STOP button (for smart key) and wait 30 seconds.
- If the system is disarmed but the door or tailgate is not opened within 30 seconds, the system will rearm.

Information
Vehicles equipped with the anti-theft alarm system will have a label attached to the vehicle with the following words:
