Highway Driving
Tires
Adjust tire pressure as specified. Insufficient pressure may cause tire overheating or damage.
Do not install worn or damaged tires, which may reduce traction or adversely affect vehicle handling. This may result in sudden tire failure, which may lead to loss of vehicle control and a crash.
Information
Never inflate tires above the maximum pressure indicated on the tire sidewall.
Fuel, Engine Coolant, and Engine Oil
Driving at higher speeds on the highway consumes more fuel and is less efficient than driving at a slower, more moderate speed. Maintain a moderate speed to save fuel when driving on the highway.
Before driving, be sure to check the engine coolant and engine oil levels.
Drive Belt
A loose or damaged drive belt may cause the engine to overheat.
WARNING
In a rollover, an unbelted occupant is much more likely to be killed than an occupant wearing a seat belt. Make sure all passengers are seated and wearing their seat belts.
