This indicator light comes on:

  • As soon as you turn the ignition switch or Engine Start/Stop button to the ON position.
    - Illuminates for approximately 3 seconds, then turns off.
  • To select 4WD Lock mode, press the 4WD LOCK button.
    - 4WD LOCK mode is designed to increase drive power when driving on wet asphalt, snow-covered roads and/or off-road.

NOTICE

Do not use 4WD LOCK mode on dry paved roads or highways. This may cause noise, vibration, or damage to parts related to the all-wheel drive system.
