If a vehicle detected by the sensors approaches your vehicle, the warning chime will sound, the warning light on the outside rearview mirror will flash, and a message will appear on the LCD display.
Information
- The warning chime will turn off when:
- The detected vehicle leaves the detection zone, or
- The vehicle is directly behind your vehicle, or
- The vehicle is no longer approaching your vehicle, or
- The other vehicle decelerates. - The system may malfunction due to other factors or conditions. Always pay attention to your surroundings.
- If the sensing area near the rear bumper is blocked by a wall, barrier, or parked vehicle, the system's detection range may be reduced.
WARNING
- When BCW is activated, the warning light on the outside rearview mirror illuminates whenever the system detects a vehicle behind.
To avoid accidents, do not focus only on the warning light and do not neglect the surroundings of the vehicle. - Drive safely even if the vehicle is equipped with the Blind-Spot Collision-Warning (BCW) and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Warning (RCCW) systems. Do not rely solely on the system; check your surroundings before changing lanes or reversing the vehicle.
The system may not warn the driver under some conditions, so always check your surroundings while driving. - The Blind-Spot Collision-Warning (BCW) and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Warning (RCCW) systems do not replace correct and safe driving practices. Always drive safely and use caution when changing lanes or backing up the vehicle. The Blind-Spot Collision-Warning (BCW) system may not detect every object near the vehicle.
NOTICE
- The system may not operate correctly if the bumper is damaged, or if the rear bumper has been replaced or repaired.
- The detection range varies slightly depending on the width of the road. When the road is narrow, the system may detect other vehicles in the adjacent lane. OR when the road is wide, the system may not detect other vehicles in the next lane.
- The system may be deactivated due to strong electromagnetic waves.
