Repair Procedures

Removal and Installation

Hyundai Palisade. Repair procedures
  • Be careful not to damage parts located under the vehicle (floor under cover, fuel filter, fuel tank, and canister) when lifting the vehicle with a lift. (Refer to General Information - Jack Lifting Points and Support Points)
  1. Remove the drive belt. (Refer to Valve Timing System - "Drive Belt")
  2. Remove the intermediate shaft cover cap (A).

  3. Remove the tensioner (A).

    Tightening torque: 53.9 - 58 N·m

  4. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Inspection

Inspect the idler pulley for excessive oil leakage, abnormal rotation or vibration. Replace if necessary.
