Bulbs

~1min read

Consult an authorized HYUNDAI dealer for replacement of most vehicle bulbs. Replacing a bulb can be difficult because other vehicle parts must be removed before the bulb can be reached. This is especially true when removing the headlamp assembly to access the lamp(s).

Removing/installing the headlamp assembly may cause damage to the vehicle.

Information

After hard driving, rain, or washing, the headlamp and taillamp lenses may appear frosted. This condition is caused by the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the lamp. It is similar to condensation on the windows inside the vehicle during rain and does not indicate a problem with your vehicle. If water has entered the lamp circuit, have your vehicle checked by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

WARNING

  • Before replacing a bulb, depress the brake pedal, move the shift lever to P (Park), apply the parking brake, turn the ignition switch to the OFF position, and take the key with you when leaving the vehicle to avoid sudden vehicle movement and prevent possible electric shock.
  • Be aware that bulbs may be hot and can burn your fingers.
