Repair Procedures

Removal

  1. After replacing the power liftgate module with a new one, check the DTC continuously. If DTC B24B0 is present, perform the power liftgate mode change. (Refer to Power Liftgate Module - Troubleshooting)
  2. After replacing the power liftgate module with a new one, perform system initialization. (Refer to Power Liftgate Module - Troubleshooting)
  3. Before delivering the vehicle to the customer, operate the power liftgate to make sure there is no audible warning.
  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the rear left luggage side trim. (Refer to Body - Luggage Side Trim)
  3. Disconnect the power liftgate control unit connectors (A).

  4. Remove the power liftgate control unit (A).

Installation

  1. Install the power liftgate control unit.
  2. Install the rear left luggage side trim.
  3. Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.
