If the ignition switch is in the ON position, the power tailgate is active when the automatic transmission lever is in P (Park) or when the manual transmission is in neutral.

To activate or deactivate the power tailgate, enter the User Settings mode and select Power Tailgate on the LCD screen.

WARNING

Never leave children or pets unattended in the vehicle. They may operate the power liftgate, which may result in injury or damage to the vehicle.

WARNING

Before opening the power liftgate, make sure its movement will not be obstructed by any obstacle. Wait until the liftgate is fully open, and stop loading/unloading luggage or getting in/out of the vehicle.

WARNING

Do not open or close the power liftgate manually to avoid damaging it. If you need to close or open it manually when the battery is discharged or disconnected, do not apply excessive force.
