If the battery is discharged or disconnected, or if the related fuse has been blown, replaced, or removed, reset the power liftgate as follows so that it operates normally:

1. Automatic transmission/dual clutch transmission:
Manual transmission: Place the shift lever in N (Neutral).

2. While holding the power liftgate inside switch, press and hold the liftgate handle button for more than 3 seconds (the alarm sounds).

3. Close the liftgate manually.

If the power liftgate does not operate properly after performing the above procedure, have the system inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

If the power liftgate does not operate normally, check again that the correct gear is selected.
