Automatic Reverse Function

If the power liftgate encounters an obstacle (an object or a person) while opening or closing, it detects the resistance.
- If resistance is detected while opening, the liftgate stops and moves in the opposite direction.
- If resistance is detected while closing, the liftgate stops and moves in the opposite direction.
On the other hand, if the resistance is weak (for example, a thin or soft object) or if the power liftgate is close to the latched position, the resistance may not be detected.
If the automatic reverse function operates continuously more than two times while opening or closing the power liftgate, it may stop in that position. In this case, close the liftgate manually and operate it again automatically.
WARNING
Never deliberately place an obstacle (an object or part of your body) in the path of the power liftgate to test the automatic reverse function.
WARNING
Do not place heavy objects on the power liftgate before using it. You risk damaging it.
