Driving Your Vehicle

Night Driving

~1min read

Driving at night is more dangerous than driving during the day. Keep the following points in mind:

  • Reduce your speed and increase the distance between you and other vehicles, because visibility at night is poorer, especially in areas with few street lights.
  • Adjust the mirrors to reduce glare from the headlights of other vehicles.
  • Keep the headlights clean and properly aimed. Dirty or misaimed headlights reduce visibility at night.
  • Do not look at the lights of oncoming vehicles. This could temporarily blind you, and your eyes will need several seconds to readjust to the darkness.
