You can start the engine without inserting the key into the ignition switch. For more information, refer to the Engine Start/Stop section in Chapter 5.

NOTICE

To prevent damage to the smart key:

  • Keep the Smart Key away from water (or any other liquid) and fire. Exposure of the Smart Key to moisture (spilled drink or humid environment) or high temperature may damage the internal circuit. In this case, repairs will not be covered by the vehicle warranty.
  • Do not drop or throw it.
  • Protect it from extreme temperatures.
