Driving Your Vehicle

Disc Brake Wear Indicator

~1min read

When your brake pads are worn and need replacement, your front or rear brakes, depending on the case, will emit a high-pitched squeal. This noise may be heard intermittently or each time you press the brake pedal.

Remember that certain driving conditions or climates may cause brakes to squeal when first applied, even gently. This is completely normal and does not indicate any problem with the brakes.

NOTICE

To avoid costly brake repairs, do not drive with worn brakes.

Information

Always replace the front or rear brake pads at the same time.
