Combination Lap and Shoulder Seat Belt

How to fasten the seat belt:

To fasten the seat belt, pull it out of the retractor and insert the metal tongue (1) into the buckle (2). A metallic click will be heard when the tongue locks into the buckle.

The belt length is adjusted automatically only after the lap portion of the belt is pulled by hand so that it fits snugly against the occupant's hips. When the occupant leans slowly and smoothly forward, the belt length increases, allowing the occupant to move freely. However, during a sudden stop or impact, the belt position is firmly locked. The same occurs if the seated occupant attempts to lean forward too quickly.

* NOTE

If the seat belt cannot be pulled out of the retractor, press on the belt and the seatback at the same time. After this, the belt will extend freely.
